Attention is given to general vacuum solutions for Bianchi type-V in Brans-Dicke theory. In one solution, the inflationary behavior is found. It is shown that, for the special gamma = 0 case there is no antigravity, which disagrees with other physical solutions found in previous studies. The present method can be used to obtain the corresponding general Bianchi type-V solution in the general relativity theory first advanced by Joseph (1966).
