Initiated by IAUC #7903, the outburst of the nearby BL Lacertae object 1ES1959+650 (z=0.048) has been detected during May 17-21 (MJD 52411-52415) with the HEGRA system of Cherenkov telescopes on La Palma of Canary Islands. During the observation time, the overall flux above 1 TeV (2.4*1026 Hz) increased from (1+/-0.5)*10^{-11}ph/cm^2/s to a peak value of (3.5+/-0.4)*10^{-11} ph/cm^2/s in the night on May 19 (MJD 52413.1-52413.2).
