We have determined the surface brightness profiles and isophotal sizes for a sample of 41 intrinsically large spiral galaxies from CCD images obtained with the Kitt Peak 0.9m telescope. From the CCD data, we were able to determine an instrumental count vs. radius profile and then coupled this with later photometric data to find the surface brightness profile which in turn gives the isophotal size. We feel that these spirals should define the upper envelope of the largest spiral galaxies in the local universe (z less than 0.05). This paper will discuss the data reduction and analysis techniques, and present the results.
