We are conducting several related searches for objects at large redshift. Two surveys search for strong line emission, in particular Lyalpha from young and possibly forming galaxies: a direct, narrow-band imaging search using a Fabry--Perot interferometer; and a serendipitous long-slit spectroscopic search. These two surveys are sensitive to line fluxes as faint as 4*E(-17) erg cm(-2) s(-1) (continuum magnitudes in the range r ~ 20-25(m) ). Our third survey is a broad band imaging search for clustering of AGN around known high-z quasars. These multi-color selected objects have typical continuum magnitudes of r ~ 20-24(m) . Several of our candidates may be Lyalpha objects at z>4, however a number of spectroscopically confirmed objects are galaxies at z ~ 0.3-1, possibly representative of the faint blue galaxies seen in the deep field surveys by Tyson, Cowie, Lilly, and others. We present here current results of the spectroscopic follow-up on high-z candidates.
