The response of a charged particle in a magnetic field to an incident gravitational wave is calculated in a linearized approximation to general relativity. The response is expressed in terms of the intensity of the magnetic bremsstrahlung emitted, where effects due to the interaction with the gravitational wave are easily identified. The spectrum is calculated consistently to the first order in the strength of the gravitational wave. In the absence of the wave, the obtained equation reduces to the result of Landau and Lifshitz (1975).
