Mixing of dynamically swept galaxy and cluster gas, so as to render one-fluid calculations completely reliable, is sufficient only if the flow Mach number is much smaller than one. The gas sweeping rate from a galaxy is connected with a number of cluster and dynamical parameters, and the one dimensional (1D) gas dynamic equations governing cluster gas evolution are rederived. Some associated problems are discussed.
The outcome of numerical experiments is presented and discussed for illustration.
