We discuss recent estimates of surface gravities of blue stragglers which have been reported as evidence for the occurrence of overshooting in H-burning stars. The adoption of updated evolutionary tracks makes such evidence much less conclusive. Moreover, any relation between gravity and overshooting depends on the evolutionary status of blue stragglers in galactic open clusters, which is far from being clearly established.
