A solution of the Einstein gravitational-wave equations is derived which has soliton characteristics. For the gravitational case, a soliton is defined as any solution which is nontrivial, is confined to a finite region of space-time, and has a finite energy. The implications of gravitational solitons for cosmological models and understanding the nonperturbation aspects of quantum gravity are indicated.
