The instrumentation plans for the 8 m Japan National Large Telescope (approximately equals SUBARU) are reviewed. The topics described in this article are (1) the interface conditions between the telescope and the observational instruments at each focus, (2) Cassegrain auxiliary optics layout as an example to show the focal area layout, (3) scopes for optical and infrared detectors, (4) the outline of proposals for observational instruments, (5) the domains in the manifold of observational parameters covered by these instruments, and (6) the schedule of construction of instruments.
