Stellar Statistics: Parallaxes, Stellar Statistics: Galaxy

Scientific paper

The author presents mean parallaxes and the number of stars down to 23 magnitude in the Johnson B, V and R photometric system. The data have been computed on the basis of two fundamental equations of stellar statistics. He used the model of the Galaxy which includes the disk with main sequence stars and giants of population I, the thick disk, and the spheroid. Mean parallaxes are calculated for intervals of 10° and 45° on the galactic latitude and longitude, respectively.
