Magnetic Fields, Planets And Satellites: General
Scientific paper
We consider the generation of electrical fields, produced by electrical currents and magnetic fields which change linearly with time. Exact solutions are found for the electrical fields around an infinite cylinder with a current flowing along the axis, and a torus with a circular current, surrounded by a vacuum. The results are applied to the electrical field generation around a planet in which a conducting core is surrounded by a non-conducting medium.
