Broad-band photometry at J, H, and K has been obtained for a sample of galactic Cepheids in clusters and associations. These data have been used to calibrate the J, H, and K period-luminosity (P-L) relations. These near-infrared P-L relations are markedly less affected by extinction, temperature, metallicity, and duplicity than their counterparts in the optical.
