The radial infall of a star into a massive black hole is calculated
using a momentum-conserving version of smoothed particle hydrodynamics.
The star is disrupted after it passes through the Roche radius, and it
flows onto the black hole in a thin stream. Distinctions are made among
the parameter regimes which govern the flow.
