All the observed times of minimum lights of U Cep from 1880 to 1994 were analyzed to examine any systematic periodic changes of the orbital period superimposed on the well-established parabolic period-variations of the system. It is found that the observed times of minimumlights of U Cep could be well represented as the following light elements : Min I = JD Hel 2420354.6993 + 2d.49290340E + 7d.91 x 10-9E2 - 0d.053 sin (0o.0287E + 264o.2) + 0d.0199 sin (0o.0593E + 283o.5) The plausible causes for these variations are discussed in the point of the light-time effects due to the additional 3rd and 4th bodies and also based on the Applegate (1992) theory.
