The dynamics of the solar wind at distances from the sun that are less than or approximately equal to 30 solar radii is investigated using the scintillation method. It is found that a change in the level of solar activity produces a change in the location of the region where the transition from the subsonic flow of circumsolar plasma to the supersonic solar wind flow occurs. The dynamics of the subsonic-supersonic transition is examined.
