ASCA observed the Galactic Center Sgr A in 1993 September, 1994 September and 1997 March. We detected one bright spot whose peak coincided with the position of Sgr A*. However this spot was dominated by diffuse emission. The flux and spectral shape of this peak were the same through the three observations. Thus we could derive that the upper limit of absorption-corrected luminosity Lx, Sgr A* is 1035 erg s-1. Since AGN activity usually accompanies intense hard X-rays and variability, we conclude that present activity of Sgr A* has been quiescent for the past several years.
