The observations of E 39 and NJL 220 were made in April 1982 using the general two-channel filter photometer on the 1.54-m telescope at the European Southern Observatory in Chile. A table is included giving the photometric properties from this investigation. The table also includes data obtained by Jorgensen (1982) for NJL 79. It is noted that the magnitudes and colors are nearly the same, placing the three variables at approximately the same distance from the earth. The reddening given by Butler et al. (1978) is used. The dwarf cepheids are determined to belong to the blue stragglers in Omega Cen. Adopting a mass of 1.2 solar masses, it is found that the dwarf cepheids/blue stragglers are not in an advanced evolutionary stage. It is believed that internal mixing may play a role in forming the dwarf cepheids. However, mass transfer in binaries or alternatively late-forming stars is thought to be the most probable mechanism as judged from the masses.
