We present the results of a time-series analysis of high resolution photometry covering 7 consecutive years. Some long-period variables already discovered by other authors are confirmed and are probably Miras or luminous blue variables. We also report on short period variables in the range of 3-10 days which give a clue to the actual masses and radii of the stars in the innermost parsec of our galaxy. In addition, polarimetric data were recorded on an observing run in 1995. Finally, some objects with unusual polarization vectors are studied in more detail regarding their extendedness compared to point-sources. This search for embedded objects in the galactic center gives a hint on where these objects have formed and how old they are.
