We present the discovery of 18 narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s). Three out of the 18 objects are quasar-luminosity NLS1s. The data presented here significantly increase the number of NLS1s. The new NLS1s were detected in the ROSAT All-Sky Survey. The optical spectra show Balmer lines only slightly broader than the forbidden lines and contain strong Fe II emission. No particularly soft X-ray spectral slopes can be seen as compared to a normal Seyfert 1 galaxy sample.
