Eclipsing Binaries: Periods

Scientific paper

The authors have observed the 1998 eclipse of the 20.34-year eclipsing binary VV Cephei (type EA). The minimum was observed on JD 2451041.7550±4.8562 and it was computed using the AVALON software. Analysis of observations give an O-C of +251.755 days in respect to the 4th edition of GCVS ephemeris (2443360+7430×E) that gives predicted minimum on JD 2450790.
