Results of detailed analyses of good statistical data based on Ginga observations (the energy range: 1.5 to 37 keV) are presented. From these results it was established that the overall X-ray spectra of Seyfert galaxies generally rule out a model consisting of a simple power law with uniform absorption plus an iron emission line. Spectra of some Seyfert galaxies (IC4329A, NGC7469, MCG-6-30-15 etc.) are well fitted to the recently favored reflection model, but those of some other Seyfert galaxies (NGC4151, NGC6814, NGC5506 etc.) rule out this model. The spectra of NGC4151 and NGC6814 are well fitted to a partial covering model. On the other hand softness variability of NGC5506 can be modeled either by partial covering of the hard X-ray source or as thermal bremstrahlung emission. The spectrum of this source also shows the signatures of cold thick matter near the central engine characteristic by an iron fluorescence line at 6.4 keV and a hard tail attributed to Compton reflection of X-ray source by the cold matter. This composite feature would be a general model for X-ray spectra of Seyfert galaxies.
