Both splinter sessions for the Visible Imager and Magnetograph (VIM) were well attended by approximately 30 participants. The goals of the session was to review the scientific objectives for VIM, to discuss specific technological issues, and to refine the approach to science operation during all orbital phases. The session was closed by the formation of a definition team which will look in detail into these matters in order to prepare a VIM Phase A proposal.
