We propose to observe for 10 ks with ACIS-S the Compton-thick Seyfert 2 galaxy Tololo 0109-383 in order to study the spatial extent of the warm reflector discovered by ASCA and BeppoSAX, and its correlation with the extended (about 5") High Ionization Nuclear Emission-Line Region. This observation will shed light on the nature and distribution of the ionized circumnuclear matter, and will help clarify the relation between its X-ray and optical properties.
