The flattening of star clusters in the LMC is correlated with their
luminosities. Bright clusters are found to be more flattened than faint
ones. The mean ellipticity of Cloud clusters of all ages is
significantly greater than that of galactic globulars. Implications of
this result for scenarios of Milky Way evolution are briefly discussed.
