Magnetic observations of the Ap star HD 83368 (HR 3831) show that it has
a strong, reversing magnetic field with a period of 2.86 day. This
period is in excellent agreement with the predicted period of 2.85 day,
based on the 'oblique pulsator' model proposed by Kurtz to explain
brightness variations of this star.
