An earlier paper considered the problem of differentially rotating charged dust in Newtonian physics and in general relativity. The problem was reduced to two coupled equations for five unknowns in general relativity. In the present paper the Newtonian problem is reduced to a single equation which becomes determinate once an arbitrary function of one variable is specified, and in general relativity the problem is reduced to a system of three coupled equations for three unknowns which becomes determinate once an arbitrary function of one variable is specified.
