The recent broad band spectral analysis of neutron star Low Mass X- ray Binaries (LMXB) has shown that their spectra are often more complex than previously thought. I will review the recent spectral results, mainly based on the broad band spectral capabilities of BeppoSAX and RXTE, with particular emphasis on the recent discovery of hard power law components in the otherwise soft spectra of Z sources and the peculiar source Cir X-1.
