This paper presents preliminary results of a statistical analysis of low-dispersion stellar IUE spectra, based on normalised flux values at sixteen selected wavelengths. Several statistical methods applied to the sample at hand are discussed (principal component analysis, Euclidean cluster analysis, single and complete linkage clustering) and a classification procedure is proposed, on the basis of the first results obtained.
