The present investigation is concerned with stellar close binary systems whose components are distorted by axial rotation and mutual tidal action. The explicit forms of the photometric perturbations have been provided by Rovithis-Livaniou (1977, 1978). These explicit forms are used as a basis to evaluate the photometric perturbations coming from the mutual tides of the two components in the case of occultation eclipses terminating in totality. The photometric perturbations coming from the tidal distortion of the eclipsing star are dominant under certain conditions.
