The authors report an observation in the hard X-ray range of the transient X-ray source A0535+26. The data were obtained in the range 20 - 180 keV with a large area multiwire proportional counters array on board a transmediterranean experiment released the 21st July 1981. A positive detection of the source in the range 30 - 100 keV was obtained, corresponding to an integral flux of about 20 mCrab. The spectrum is 100% pulsed, with a period of 103.3 s and is best fitted with the power law 2.08 E-1.2ph cm-2s-1 keV-1.
