Two supernova remnants (N49 and N63 A in the Large Magellanic Cloud) have been mapped in their 5303-A coronal forbidden emission line of Fe XIV at an effective spatial resolution of 2 arcsec. These observations confirm the validity of the cloudlet shock model put forward by McKee and coworkers (1978), and physical parameters are derived for one such cloudlet. Soft X-ray fluxes for these remnants are predicted to be substantially higher than those of the Cygnus Loop.
