The new era of Particle Astronomy has begun with the first significant observations of anisotropy in the distribution of arrival directions of ultra-high energy cosmic rays by the Pierre Auger Observatory. These new findings have opened a new window into the highest energy accelerators in the Universe. Understanding the implications of these findings will have important consequences both to astrophysics and particle physics. We will discuss future projects that are being designed to increase the statistics at the highest energies where particle astronomy is a reality.
