We examined the X-ray halo of the low-mass X-ray binary 4U1724-307, located in the globular cluster Terzan 2, as observed by the Chandra X-ray telescope. The halo arises from scattering off interstellar dust grains, and is a useful diagnostic of grain characteristics. Using a low optical depth sight line to determine the Chandra ACIS point-spread function, we extracted the radial profile as a function of energy and fit it to determine the grain size distribution, H column density, and dust spatial distribution along the line of sight. Our results will shed light on the nature of the interstellar medium along this sight line, as well as the cluster itself.
