SummaryA survey is given of recent developments in geodynamics. The first two sections describe briefly the recently accumulated pertinent geological and geophysical facts. Then, the new developments in the physical basis of geodynamics, in the theory of the earth's rotation, in our knowledge of epeirogenesis, in the proposed geotectonic hypotheses, in the theory of faulting, earthquake origination, folding and various miscellaneous phenomena, are described.
