We present new results from axisymmetric multi-angle, multi-group neutrino radiation hydrodynamic calculations of the postbounce phase of rotating and nonrotating core-collapse supernovae. We analyze the effect of the multi-angle treatment on neutrino radiation field anisotropies and the net energy deposition and compare our results in detail with multi-group flux-limited diffusion counterpart calculations.
This research is funded by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics, by the DOE/SciDAC program, and by NSF.
