The analysis of Balmer emission line profiles can provide abundant evidence on the complexity of the CS environment of symbiotic stars. In this work, we have studied the /Hγ and /Hδ Balmer lines of CH Cygni at four different dates in the period 1991-1995, taken from shortly before the beginning till the decline of the 1992-1994 activity. Because of rapid changes in physical conditions in the emitting region, which lead to striking line-shape variability on very short time scales, we investigated the profiles in the context of the published data, referring to larger time intervals around the dates of our spectra. The results of our spectroscopic observations are given without an assumption of a unique model.
