Recent GALEX observations of the archetypal AGB variable Mira have revealed new far-UV emitting features: a bow-shock, a bi-polar stream with knots, and a wake spanning two degrees on the sky. These remarkable and previously undetected structures offer the opportunity to track Mira's mass loss over tens of thousands of years provided we can establish how they are formed. We present a status report on follow-up observations designed to explore the relationship between Mira's clumpy wind and the new far-UV features.
