Since Cepheid angular size pulsation was first directly detected by long baseline optical interferometry in 2000, this technique has proved to be a very powerful technique for the study of this type of star. We will present recent results of interferometric observations of Cepheids from the CHARA Array Interferometer. The parallax pulsation method, also known as the Baade-Wesselink method, allows us to determine distances to Cepheids with a very high precision. Our measurements are now at the level of precision (1.5%) where the presence of circumstellar envelops and the uncertainty concerning the center-to-limb darkening can bias the result. These effects have been at the center of our recent research. We present observations of 5 galactic Cepheids and 1 non pulsating yellow supergiant: interestingly, the 5 Cepheids show evidence in favor of the presence of a faint circumstellar envelope (CSE), whereas the non pulsating star shows no sign of such an envelope. We also present our first attempts to detect center-to-limb darkening variations during the pulsation using both direct and indirect methods.
