N-body simulations of dark matter halos present a number of characteristics that appear time and again; e.g., dual power-law density profiles. However, no explanation for these characteristics has been widely accepted. We are investigating a "thermodynamic'" approach to this issue using global properties that will shed light on the relationships observed in simulations.
This material is based upon work supported by NASA under Grant #NNX07AG86G issued through the Science Mission Directorate.
