XMM-Newton performed 5 pointing observations in the Perseus cluster, and showed very interesting features in the large-scale distributions of temperature. It is certain that the cluster is undergoing at least 2 major mergers. We propose here 5 further pointings to fill up the bright part of the cluster emission, which will give us full views on the 2 mergers going on in the southwest (IC 310 subcluster) and in the east (extended cool subcluster) of the Perseus system. The data will show us a complete view about the substructures, with the gas heating and mixing processes taking place in this massive system.
