We propose to study the X-ray properties of a complete sample of Seyfert 1 galaxies which their optical polarized spectra are similar to those of Seyfert 2 galaxies. The optical properties of these objects can be explained if they are observed at an inclination comparable with the torus opening angle. A systematic analysis in the X-ray band of these objects would reveal the imprint of both the atmosphere of the torus and the features of the nearly ubiquitous warm absorbers observed in Seyfert 1 galaxies. The study will produce new insights to our knowledge on the accretion flow geometry in AGNs.
