The correlation between the pulsar velocities and magnetic fields is examined, after involving the transverse velocities of very young pulsars estimated from the angular displacements from the centers of their associated supernova remnants. It is shown that the apparent correlation between the transverse velocities and magnetic fields of pulsars does exist - due to selection effect. For young pulsars, the conclusion of non-causal relationship between pulsar velocity and magnetic field keeps true.
