Scientific paper

Low energy gamma radiation was recently detected from the Vela supernova
remnant and was attributed to synchrotron emission from high energy
electrons. Microwave background photons can scatter from these electrons
to give high energy gamma rays. This flux is calculated and found to
agree with observation.
