The author has obtained expressions for temperature distribution along a
solar flare loop in the presence of a source of continued heating in
constant cross section and line dipole geometries under nonstatic
conditions. The quantitative results are presented for the flare kernel
of 1973 September 1 for sources of small and large extensions.
