Maps in the radio continuum and Hα have been obtained for NGC 595, the second brightest H II complex in the nearby galaxy M33. The morphology of the nebula consists of a dense core surrounded by a diffuse halo. The extinction varies significantly across NGC 595, suggesting the presence of obscuring dust in the neutral and ionized components of NGC 595. The relative abundance of dust is aproximately the same as in the solar neighbourhood. The three Wolf-Rayet type stars which have been recently discovered are located in the central region. Association with an H I concentration, core-halo structure and presence of dust internal to the ionized component seem to be important properties shared by many extragalactic giant H II complexes.
