Scientific paper

A study is presented of a spherically symmetric class-one cosmological
model based on Lyra's geometry. The static universe is shown to be
physically unrealistic. The nonstatic model parallels Lemaitre's in the
Riemannian case but the law of mass-energy conservation does not hold.
