The data coming now from interferometric detectors of gravitational waves (VIRGO or LIGO) must be analysed using the best possible knowledge of the astrophysical sources. This is the goal of our group of numerical relativity which aims at a precise modelling of astrophysical sources containing compact objects (neutron stars or black holes). After a brief description of these aspects, we present numerical methods used in our group and, in particular, our numerical library LORENE. Finally, some recent results about the solution of dynamical 3D Einstein equations are given.
