Venera 15 and 16 two-frequency radio-occultation measurements carried out in 1983-1984 were used to determine the characteristics of the dayside atmosphere of Venus for intermediate states of solar activity. A comparison of these data with Venera 9 and 10 and Pioneer-Venus data revealed a series of ionospheric characteristics connected with the phase of the solar cycle.
