New observations of the v equals 0, J equals 2-1 line of SiO at 86.8 GHz are presented, which show a close association of the thermal SiO emission and infrared and maser sources in regions of star formation. The first detection of high velocity plateau emission toward W49 and W51 is reported in addition to SiO emission with low velocity dispersion, which may come from the core of the molecular cloud containing the infrared and maser sources. In Orion-KL, the positional centroids of the high velocity SiO emission is found to be near the 18 km/s flow, although the centroids of the blue- and red-shifted wings are displaced from each other by a few arcsec.
