Site Testing, Seeing, Earth Atmosphere: Extinction

The site testing at Gaomeigu, in the north-western part of the Yunnan Province, started in 1994. Data sets of the seeing measurements have been obtained from 294 nights. The sky brightness and the extinction coefficient in B and V colors were measured. The mean values are: the sky brightness in B = 22m34/[open square]″and in V = 21m54/[open square]″ the extinction coefficient K'bv = 0.298, K'v = 0.135.
